| You had me worried there for a moment, but Strewth sounds like it will be more fun for both you and us. Good luck with it. I'll be there spamming the forums and everything. |

| I never came around translating that stuff. Do you think I could catch up with that? |

It's up to you. I wouldn't stop you if you really wanted to, but I don't think it's necessary at this point.
Thanks, Mungo. I think this will be a fun change for everyone. |

I don't ever post on the forums, but I've been reading this strip everyday and enjoy it. I just wanted to give my thanks to Josh for writing a strip that has grabbed my attention from start to finish.
Best of luck with Strewth! I can't wait to see it. |

| Say, are there things that you had planned for the comic but that didn’t make it in? |

Yeah, lots of ideas and tangents. Nothing that made it to the drawing board, and nothing that would have changed the overall story, but I have probably a dozen small storylines that were never used.
I was going to do more with Chuck's love of old movies (and Brenda's questionable taste in movies). Chuck was going to join a Mason-like society of old men who were responsible for just about everything that happens in Riverbed. There was even a lost character named Francis Loudon. He was a slimy, unethical advertising salesman admired by Chuck and loathed by everyone else. |

When were you planning to work this in to the story?

| Would we have found out more about August Q. Finch? |

Mungo, there was no way to incorporate that without making everything else seems worthless and pathetic.

Yes. In fact, at one point early on, the bust of Finch was going to give Chuck advice (in his mind). I decided that was too "far out" for Chronicle. |

| Would we also have found out what that great sorrow was that he knew? |

Like everyone else, I'm sad to lose Chronicle, but excited to see Strewth.
More importantly, however, I've already begun quoting the line "on The Spacebook and The Tweeter" in daily conversation. |

Well, its been a bit since i posted, but here goes.
1: First off, this fails in an epic way. I've really grown to enjoy this comic, and I'm extremely sad to see it go. For a breakout act in this particular medium, I feel you did a great job. From a readers standpoint, there are very few un-tenured webcomics out there that can boast to the level of talent as well as the level of discipline that you have achieved with this strip.
2: This fails considerably less, the notion of you taking a walk down a differnt creative avenue. I can't wait to see the same talent and dedication applied to a whole host of new things.
Basically, I'm sad to see Chronicle go. I've been following for a while now, and it's been a great ride. But I also understand the need for change. So, I wish you luck, and I thank you for the good times.
~Steve

Thanks, Steve. I appreciate those thoughts.
And thanks everybody. I'll do my best to come back in the fall with something special. |

Long time; no post (or log-in for that matter).
Anyway, I cannot believe I just noticed the video on the front page (I usually do not scroll down when I check the comic for updates). I have been reading this comic since literally day 2 and I have been enjoying it since. It will be sad to see it go but I cannot wait to see what you have in store for your next project. Good luck! |
